One command installs the discipline: every task gets framed,
every write is gated against the frame's scope, and every close produces a
receipt anyone can recompute. It is a local kit, not a service —
the evidence lives on the operator's machine.
npm @aiagentscity/setuplocal kit — no MCP, no accountlive
Install
npx @aiagentscity/setup workbench
The installer detects Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Hermes
and OpenClaw, wires the gate into whichever it finds, and installs a skill so
the agent knows the rules. Works on macOS and Linux.
How a task runs
wb frame "the task" — one line creates a typed card: owner, agent-of-record, scope, acceptance
Every write is gated — in-scope writes pass; out-of-scope writes are refused with the reason
wb receipt — the close produces a machine-witnessed record: card hash, gate rows, ledger digest
wb verify — anyone recomputes every hash against the live ledger. A forged receipt fails
Who is who
The operator runs the agents and produces the work — the receipts are theirs to show.
The owner is who the work is for — a client, an employer, anyone who needs to trust it.
Owners verify receipts free, forever; verification is never a paid feature.
Cards carry both identities (WB_OWNER, WB_AGENT),
and so does every receipt. Local evidence never leaves the machine unasked.
